This is the season of gratitude and yet sometimes it's a little overlooked. Old Boney Mountain Foundation for Kids is grateful for all who give their time, talents and treasures in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior to our community.
Our Gratitude Challenge is a week-long fundraiser from Nov. 21 to Nov. 28 to raise money to send kids to winter and summer camp, fund life skill programs like "Climbers Challenge" and provide scholarships to those who earn them through a dedication to prayer, service, community, family and health.
Those who would like to participate in this effort and donate can go to oldboneymountain.org and check out the various ways they can donate. All funds raised go to the cause. Our organization pays no salaries. The founder of the organization will match all donations up to $10,000. Our fundraising goal is $20,000 which will cover about half of our programs for 2024.
Gratitude Challenge week culminates on November 28 (giving Tuesday) with a celebration called "Chili Winter's Eve" from 6:00 pm to 8:30 pm in Newbury Park (our backyard) This evening is not a fundraiser, it is simply meant to recognize and thank those who give to the community and update those interested in what our foundation does. We will have live entertainment with the great duo Adam and Sam as well as Old Boney Mountain Chili and Tri-Tip, hot chocolate and other comfort foods, beer and wine will be served as well. This year Pastor Matt from Monte Vista and Nate from Young Life will be our keynote speakers! It's free, but there is limited space. Those who wish to attend must RSVP at: https://www.eventeny.com/events/rsvp-for-chili-winters-eve-5142/
