Inspired Youth Scholarship Program
Each year, Old Boney Mountain Foundation for Kids provides scholarship opportunities to graduating high school seniors pursuing higher education. Scholarships may be used for college, trade schools, music programs, or performing and creative arts institutions.
These scholarships are designed for Ventura County students who demonstrate resilience in the face of family or financial hardship while living out the values reflected in our “Inspired Youth” criteria — including academic commitment, service to others, personal responsibility, health, and faith.
Scholarship awards are determined annually based on available funding and typically range from $500 to $5,000.
Eligibility RequirementsApplicants must:
• Be a graduating high school senior residing in Ventura County
• Maintain a minimum 2.5 GPA in high school coursework
• Complete at least 20 hours of community service during their senior year
• Submit a 500–1,000 word essay responding to the prompt:
“What makes me an Old Boney Mountain Foundation for Kids Inspired Youth?”
Through this program, we seek to recognize and support young people who are working hard to overcome challenges and are committed to building a positive future for themselves and their communities.
